arches
Inspired by architecture, these sculptural cuffs explore space, structure, and form through minimal geometry.
The triangular cuff features bold, three-dimensional planes, sharp, angular arches. It echoes the tension and strength found in built environments. In contrast, the circular cuff offers balance and flow; its looping form creating a quiet rhythm and visual calm.
These pieces marked a turning point in my career as a jewellery maker. The triangular cuff received a Gold Award from the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council in 2006, giving me the confidence to begin focusing on my own work. The circular cuff followed in 2007 with another Goldsmiths’ award, affirming the path I had started to carve for myself.
